Smithsonian Curator Nancy Bercaw to speak on “Prospects for African American Public History” on Nov. 4
Nancy Bercaw—Curator of Political History at the Smithsonian Institution, co-founder of the Center for Restorative History, and Lead Curator of the Slavery and Freedom Exhibition at the National Museum of African American History and Culture—will present a talk titled “Prospects for African American Public History and Museums Today” at Mill on Main (95 S. Main St, Oberlin) on Tuesday, Nov. 4, beginning at 7 pm. This free event is open to the public and sponsored by Evans HHS, the Oberlin African-American Genealogy and History Group, and Oberlin Heritage Center with support from the Oberlin College History Department.
